In just a couple days Harris and Harris Wealth Management Group is teaming up with SimplySoles to host an exclusive upscale shoe extravaganza and fundraiser for The Ivy Community Charities of Prince Georges County.
The fundraising event will be held Dec. 1, 2011, 5 pm – 8 pm, at SimplySoles National Harbor location, 138 Waterfront Street, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
I’m excited to host this event because it gives us all an opportunity to contribute to some of the good work being done in Prince George’s County.
For more than 24 years, The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County has provided educational support through tutoring, scholarships, mentoring and social development programs.
They have encouraged healthy lifestyles through health education and sizable contributions to medical research organizations. They have supported families in need through their shoe bank and clothes closets, and strengthened linkages in the community by working with elderly residents of a rehabilitation center. The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County also celebrates the arts by exposing youth to the fine arts.
