It was such a pleasure talking with Marissa Levin, the owner of Information Experts, Inc. A company she started about 19 years ago.
So you may ask, what sparked her desire to becoming a business owner? Well it was highly influenced by her past life experience working in Corporate America.
While working at a company she believed valued her abilities and talents, she thought that asking for an increase in salary was a given based on her contributions to the organization. So when she approached her boss, she was told her worth at the company equated to only $34,000 per year.
Marissa was taught at a young age to never let someone else determine her value. So, she decided to become an entrepreneur instead of continuing to work for an organization that didn’t appreciate her skills. Thus began her journey building a successful multi-million dollar government contracting company.
So listen in to the wonderfully honest conversation we had to learn more about her, the type of mindset she maintains, what motivates her to keep going, and how she helps other women entrepreneurs to generate high growth and attract top talent.
